Duration: 6 Hours
Location: ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai, UAE
Miles Greenberg's UAE debut, Le Miroir, is a durational performance piece commissioned by the ICD Brookfield Place Arts Programme.
The first act was staged live during the 2025 Edition of 1-54 Art Fair in Marrakech's historic El Badi Palace, with this second iteration expanding on Greenberg's exploration of movement, endurance and emotional transformation.
Inspired by Andrey Tarkovsky's 1975 film The Mirror, the performance seeks to evoke an emotion response through a singular, minimal physical action - both from the performers and, in turn, the audience - posing the question, what happens to emotions beyond language when expressed through repeated or sustained movement over many hours? The performance becomes a metaphorical petri dish, observing how these feelings proliferate, evolve, or mutate - where violence may soften into affection, and longing may dissolve into disdain.
