Fountain I, 2022
(performance / installation)
(performance / installation)
Duration. 7 hours
Location: WORTHLESSSTUDIOS, New York, NY, USA
In Fountain I, a lone fgure stands atop a white plinth that floats over a large pond of blood. His chest and hands appear to be hemorrhaging profusely into the reservoir below. This piece, inspired heaily by the work of the late Viennese actionist painter Hermann Nitsch, acts as a poem about the final stages of heartbreak: "when one finally turns one's entire body inside out to reach a sort of ecstasy."
Set design: Miles Greenberg, Elena Seegers & Simon De Dreuille
Production: Le Botaniste
Support: WORTHLESSSTUDIOS, Studio Miles Greenberg
